BUKOVINIAN STATE MEDICAL UNIVERSITY
Year of establishment 1944, Bukovinian State Medical University is one of the most significant Institutions in the region (Chemivtsi).
BSMU has 47 Disciplines and has the Accreditation Level of IV. It is recognized by WHO, Magna Charta (Italy) Carpathian Universities Association.
Life in Chernivtsi
Situated on the upward course of Prut River, Chernivtsi is a city in Western Ukraine. It is recognized as the most happening cultural center in Western Ukraine.
Many tourist attractions exist – Organ & Chamber Music Hall, Regional Philharmonic Society, Drama Theatre, Museum of Local Lore & many more.
The Hockey, Football and Baseball clubs participate in the Ukrainian National Championships. The other popular sports include Power-lifting, Field Hockey, Karate, Judo etc.
The Chernivtsi-city has a well-developed Transportation being connected by Road, Rail and Air.
The city is 248 m above sea level and is surrounded by forests & fields. The climate is mild except in winters when the temperature may reach as low as -60C.
Medical Courses run in BSMU
The Branch of ‘Medicine’ includes:
- General Medicine
- Medical Psychology
- Lab Diagnostics
The Clinical Departments are located in 27 Clinical Centers and 17 therapeutic establishments.
BSMU for Foreign Students
Teaching is conducted in English or Ukrainian language.
Foreign students who wish to study in the Ukrainian Language will have to take admission in 1 year preparatory program which would focus on learning Ukrainian language.
Tuition Fees are specified for the Foreign students by Education & Science Ministry of Ukraine annually.
To get admission in Bukovinian State Medical University, you need to send the filled up Application Form to the Department of International Relations.
You can expect Feedback from the Department in 3 working days confirming if you are eligible. If you are, the Department will ask you to mail the following:
- Passport page with personal details
- Educational Documents
- Signed consent to Personal data processing & collecting.
You will receive feedback in 5 working days. If all is in order, the Department sends you scanned copy of the Invitation Letter.
Upon receiving it, you need to make the following payments:
- 324 UAH/ 834 INR for visa support
- Courier Delivery Services (as applicable)
- 20-50% of Tuition Fee
You need to take on the visa process on the basis of the Invitation Letter. Once you get the Student visa, plan your travel keeping in mind that you need to inform the University 7 days prior to arrival.
Foreign students need to be ready with the following documents:
- Application form
- Copy of Educational Documents with Subject details
- Copy of Passport
- Medical Certificate from an Official Health care authority (not older than 2 months)
- Document confirming absence of HIV infection
- The Insurance Policy for emergency medical care
- Copy of the Birth Certificate
- 6 photographs (6X4 cm)
- Air Ticket valid for one year with an open date for returning.
September 1 – Start of Academic Year
October 1 – Start of Preparatory Course
November 1 – Autumn Admission deadline
March 1 – Spring Admission deadline
The Tuition Fee for the Academic Year 2017-18 is given below and minor changes may be expected for this Academic Year.
General Medicine (Duration 6 Years) – 39oo USD (2,62,000 INR) per year that amounts to 15,72,000 INR for 6 years.
