Dnipropetrovsk State Medical Academy for MBBS in Ukraine was established on September 15, 1916. 

It was founded to provide higher courses of education to women especially.

The climate of the city is cold and temperate with severe winters, no dry season and warm summers. In summers, Dnipro is severely hot with an average temperature of 240 to 280c. The hottest month is May where the highest temperature is recorded as 360c.

The winters are extreme, where temperature varies from -40c to 00c without snowfall. However, in December a mix of snow and rain usually happens where the temperature reaches to -0.20c.

The average annual temperature is 9.00c and the rainfall is significant where the average temperature is 500mm. Precipitation is the lowest in March, with an average of 33 mm. In June, the precipitation reaches its peak, with an average of 59 mm.

Dnipropetrovsk Medical University provides preparatory department for the foreign citizens. The academy trains specialists in all the faculties of English, Russian and Ukrainian languages.

Currently, more than 4500 students are enrolled within the premises of the Dnipropetrovsk State Medical Institute, out of which around 700 students are foreigners. This is a good number, however, National Medical University of Lviv has more than 1000.

Dnipropetrovsk National Medical University has trained more than 1000 foreign specialists, till date. DSMA covers an area of 85 hectares.

Furthermore, Dnipropetrovsk National Medical University has 8 academic buildings which cover 608 classrooms and laboratories.

It has 19 professors and 58 associate professors who work at the Faculty of Postgraduate education in DSMA. Faculty Conducts postgraduate training in three areas:

  • Primary speciality medical interns – internship.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS


MBBS in Ukraine eligibility criteria are not very stringent. The same is true for Dnipropetrovsk Medical University.

For medical course:

Dnipropetrovsk State Medical Academy does not demand for any specific grade or marks for admission. It accepts students with passing grades in the following subjects:
