About University
Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) was established in 1989. It consists of 35,000 scholars, out of which 10,000 are Undergraduate and Graduate students. The VMU gives a huge opportunity for students studying in Lithuanian through the exchange network Campus Europe program, which currently unites 19 universities. In addition, it has more than 700 scholars and researchers. Above all, more than 500 International students arrive at VMU every year.

If you are planning to accomplish higher studies at the Vytautas Magnus University, first of all, you must know the cost of living in Kaunas City. Scholarship
While studying at Vytautas Magnus University students get scholarship opportunities as both international and National students. Vytautas Magnus University gives the opportunity of various scholarships for full-time BachelorĀ“s and MasterĀ“s degree studies. Scholarships in Vytautas Magnus University are offered in different types of tuition fee waivers as 25%, 50%, or 100% discount. The criteria for availing of the scholarship are students should get a score not lower than 8,5 bands and their (GPA) should not be lower than 8 out of 10 for the entire study period. The scholarship is offered only in English-taught programs.

Part-Time Job
While studying abroad, students start thinking about their part-time job. As an International student, you are allowed to work 20 hours part-time and a full-time job for 40 hours per week. While studying in Lithuania, an International student can work as long as they are enrolled at a university. The students can earn up to 2.5 Euros per hour which is about 400 Euros per month. This amount is good enough to meet your expense during your academics in Lithuania.
Post Study Work (PSW) VISA
After studying at Vytautas Magnus University in Lithuania, an International student is eligible to apply for a temporary residence permit. After graduating, students are allowed to stay in Lithuania or any of the Schengen countries for 12-15 months, which enables them to look for jobs or get self-employed. Furthermore, the students must obtain the Temporary Residence Permit (TRP) as soon as they arrive in Lithuania.
