Budapest Metropolitan University (Hungarian: Budapesti Metropolitan Egyetem) is a private higher education academy located in Budapest, Hungary. Established in 2000, the University is officially named Budapest Metropolitan University or Budapest Metropolitan Egetem. However, it received state accreditation in 2003.
The Budapest Metropolitan University boasts 6,500 students, out of which, 1000 are International students. It mainly focuses on study areas such as Communication and Media Studies, Business Management and Marketing, Tourism and Hospitality, and Applied Arts and Media Arts programs.
On February 26, 2005, the university organized its first graduation ceremony and released its first graduation batch of Business Communication students who graduated in January 2005. The university focuses on adding new technologies and learning programs for students. With the implementation of the Bologna process and ERASMUS programs, the university aims to deliver better interaction and skills development for learners worldwide.

Hostel & Accommodation
The University offers accommodation services to national and international students. The university has two hostel structures - Nova Inn and CEU Residency center. Nova Inn hostel is situated on the University's main campus and is packed with modern facilities. Indeed, the hostel charges depend on the type of accommodation you choose. However, the hostel costs around € 250-300 and a private apartment is around € 400-500.
Scholarship
As an international student, studying in Hungary you get the opportunity of a scholarship. The University presents different sorts of scholarships, to support the students through discounts on tuition fees and living expenses. Budapest Metropolitan University distributes scholarships to the students who scored the highest credit index in the earlier semester. Moreover, selected students will get waived off 33% discount on their tuition fees.

Part-Time Job

Post Study Work (PSW) VISA
After you have completed your studies at Budapest Metropolitan University, as an International student, you are eligible to apply for a temporary residence permit. The students are allowed to stay in Hungary for more than 9-10 months for the “study-to-work” permit. The stay duration is sufficient for students to find a job or start their businesses. If you continue to work in Hungary, you can easily acquire a residence permit. Furthermore, the students must obtain the Temporary Residence Permit (TRP) as soon as they arrive in Hungary.
