About the University

Kyrgyzstan State Medical Academy (KSMA) is a public university located in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. It was founded in 1939 as the Kyrgyz State Medical Institute, and was renamed in 1992 to honor the Kyrgyz physician and scientist Akhunbay Sultanaliev. KSMA is one of the largest medical universities in Kyrgyzstan, with over 5,000 students enrolled. The university offers a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate medical programs, including MBBS, MD, PhD, and residency programs.
