About University
The Prague University of Economics and Business was originally named the University of Economics and Business, Prague (PUEB). The University is a Czech triple-accredited public academy of economics and business-oriented located in Prague, Czech Republic. It is one of the largest universities in the field of economics, information technology, and business. The Prague University of Economics and Business consist of 14,000 students enrolled in Bachelor, Master, Doctoral, and MBA degree programs. It is considered one of the best Central and Eastern Europe business schools in the Czech Republic.
The Prague University of Economics and Business got established in 1953. The University has three campuses, the main campus is in Žižkov, the central district of the Czech capital. However, the buildings for Faculty Management have located about 110km from Prague. The PUEB offers international faculty of about 60 visiting professors. Also, the study courses are taught in English. The University retains academic affiliations with AACSB, CEMS, PIM, ERASMUS, EQUIS, AMBA, etc.
Every year the Prague University of Economics and Business welcomes more than 1000 students from all over the world. It has 250 partner universities, for instance, including the Sciences Po Paris, University of Cologne, Tilburg University, Stockholm School of Economics, University of St. Gallen, London School of Economics, Tel Aviv University, University of Queensland, McGill University, Duke University, the University of Texas at Austin and University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, etc.

Cost of Living in Prague

Scholarship

The University of Economics and Business in Prague offers two types of scholarship- Entitlement and non-rewarded scholarship. The Entitlement scholarship is granted for 12 academic years with a regular monthly amount. However, the non-rewarded scholarship is given to students with outstanding results in studies or curriculum activities. Above all, the University provides scholarships to both National and International students.
Part-Time Job
Moving abroad for higher education nowadays is a trending move. Most international students prefer to work while studying. Staying in a foreign land is a task when it comes to managing monthly expenses. As an international student, while you are enrolled in a Czech Republican University, you are eligible to work part-time. International students can work up to 35 Hours in a part-time job per week and work on vacation time full time. Likewise, international students can work part-time on a student visa without requiring any work permit. The students can earn a good amount of CZK 1,000 per month to CZK 16,200 for living and also manage their additional monthly expenses.
Post Study Work (PSW) VISA
After studying at the University of Economics and Business in Prague as an International student, students plan on staying in the country for post Study work. The Czech Republic is considered one of the highest stay-back countries. Students can apply for a temporary residence permit. After graduating, students are allowed to stay in the Czech Republic for 12-15 months, allowing them to look for jobs or get self-employed. Furthermore, the students must obtain the Temporary Residence Permit (TRP) as soon as they arrive in the Czech Republic.
